Bio:

Although I drew on my background in television news to create protagonist Jolie Marston, the experiences are not autobiographical. During my television career, I was the producer of the major evening newscast at WHBQ (then the ABC-affiliate) in Memphis, the first woman to hold this position. I was one of the original news producers at CNN headquarters in Atlanta and the executive producer of PM Magazine in Memphis. As an independent writer/producer/director, I created videos for corporate clients and non-profit organizations. Later I headed the television department for the WA State House of Representatives. I’ve written for magazines and newspapers, and my essays have appeared in The Seattle Times and on KPLU (NPR) radio in Seattle-Tacoma. I’m also a poet.

A native of Athens in east Tennessee and a former resident of Memphis, I now own and manage Cedar Loft Cabin at Mt. Rainier, a secluded eco-lodging in Ashford, WA just outside the national park (www.cedarloftcabin.com). I am writing the second book in the Jolie Marston series.
